Symptoms
When looking for an email in Outlook, using the search bar gives no result, while the mail is present in the current folder and can be reached through scrolling.
Solution
The indexing system of Outlook may need to be rebuilt :
In Outlook client :
- Click on File
- Click on Options
- Click on Search > Indexing Options
- A new window appears. Click on Advanced
- In Troubleshoot, click on "Rebuild" button
According to the number of elements, the operation can take up to several hours.
Once the process is finished, restart Outlook. The elements should be accessible through the search bar.
